NPP Primaries: Akufo Addo congratulates winners

Congratulations has been expressed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the victors of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries that took place in a number of constituencies.

The President congratulated the winners of the highly contested elections, recognizing their commitment, diligence, and the confidence that the party faithful had shown in them.

Party members eagerly participated in the democratic process on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the parliamentary primaries to select their chosen candidates for the next general elections.

President Akufo-Addo expressed his pleasure with the transparent electoral process and the smooth handling of the primaries.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized the value of maintaining party unity in a statement issued by the Presidency, stressing that winning the next general elections in 2024 is the main goal.

“We have elected a good blend of experienced and youthful parliamentary candidates whom I warmly congratulate.”

 

“Let’s help secure a majority for the NPP in the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic, and help return an NPP presidential candidate into office on 7th January 2025.”

 

“I extend warm congratulations to the rank and file of the party, and applaud all stakeholders the national, regional, constituency, electoral area and polling station executives of the party, the Electoral Commission, the security services, and the media for a job well done,”

In order to secure success for the New Patriotic Party, he asked all party members, including those who did not win, to unite behind the elected officials and cooperate with one another.

The president highlighted the importance of presenting a united front, stressing that teamwork and unity within the party are essential to achieving the main objective of efficiently serving the country.
